Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of the Polaris website and mobile apps. You accept them when you create an account.

1. Who provides what
Polaris Technology Inc. (“Polaris”) provides the software platform: the website, the mobile apps, the AI assistant, and the tools that connect you with an independent partner law firm. Polaris is not a law firm and does not practice law. Legal services are provided solely by the law firm. Any attorney-client relationship exists between you and the law firm under its own engagement terms, not with Polaris.
2. The AI assistant is not legal advice
The AI assistant provides general legal information generated by an AI model. Its responses are informational only, may be inaccurate or incomplete, do not constitute legal advice, and do not create an attorney-client relationship. For advice about your situation, work with the law firm through a legal request or live chat.
3. Your account
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Provide accurate information, keep your password confidential, and tell us promptly about any unauthorized use of your account. You are responsible for activity under your account.
4. Your content and acceptable use
You keep ownership of everything you submit — documents, messages, and request details. You grant Polaris the limited license needed to store, transmit, and display that content in order to operate the platform, and to share it with the law firm for legal work you request. Do not upload content that is unlawful, infringes others’ rights, contains malicious code, is abusive or harassing, or that you have no right to share. We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, and we respond to reports submitted through in-app support.
5. Fees and payments
Polaris charges a flat Initialization Fee when a legal request is started. Fees for legal work are set and invoiced by the law firm. All payments are processed by Stripe; card details never touch Polaris servers. Invoices show the amount, the matter, and the due date before you pay.
6. Your data
How we handle personal data — including in-app account deletion and data export — is described in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.
7. Termination
You can stop using the platform and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or abuse the service. Records of completed legal work are retained as described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The platform is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. Polaris is not responsible for the legal services provided by the law firm. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Polaris’s total liability for claims relating to the platform is limited to the amounts you paid Polaris in the twelve months before the claim arose.
9. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we will update this page and its date, and notify you in the app or by email of material changes before they take effect. Continuing to use the platform after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
10. Intellectual property
The Polaris name, branding, apps, and website content are owned by Polaris Technology Inc. and may not be copied or used without permission.
